Still Alive – Wearing Sunglasses at Night – Diary of a Graffiti Writer

Still Alive – a globetrotter with spray cans in his luggage in search of adventure and new spots, with varying pseudonyms in his repertoire. In a refreshing manner, his pieces question the common codes of the graffiti subculture around the turn of the millennium.
With the help of old diary entries and analogue photos, the book “Wearing Sunglasses at Night” reconstructs Still Alive’s career as a graffiti writer. The numerous pictures and stories take us on adventures from New York and San Francisco to Barcelona and Bucharest and show why he became one of the most important protagonists in the Swiss graffiti scene and put Bern on the graffiti map.

Muros legales en Madrid | Al abordaje 2021

From November 14, 2020 until January 24, a “test” was carried out in the city of Madrid that consisted of enabling the use of 2 walls to be freely intervened, in this case through the association WALL SPOT. That the walls are intervened by hired artists or by associations or for advertising actions etc, is nothing new, that is what walls are for and that is what painting is for, to create something in a vacuum.

But that anyone with the sole intention of creating or expressing themselves can do it this way, through an application, this if it has a different point. Especially when these walls that are distributed throughout the city, such as bridges, retaining walls, for sounds, walls that belong to everyone, that are not private or neighboring farms, etc.

These walls are usually painted and repainted by the town hall, when signatures or political phrases appear. They really should be open to the creative person.

Ein Jahr nach Hanau

Low Bud Media Entertainment presents the following video, showing us the painting of a whole car on a commuter train in Cologne. This whole car is dedicated to the victims of the racist murder a year ago in Hanau, near Frankfurt (Germany). 9 people of migrant origin were killed there by a racist shooter who legally possessed weapons. Because the police did not react to the emergency calls that night, the killer was able to kill so many people and then shoot his mother and himself.
