This week in Metropolis, RTVE presents a monograph dedicated to photographer and filmmaker Henry Chalfan, who immortalized in his photographs and documentaries the first decades of New York graffiti, becoming the ambassador of this culture throughout the world. Metropolis 30 years ago in Spain showed his documentary “Style Wars” and undoubtedly marked a turning point in the national and global graffiti. Taking advantage of his stay in Madrid, Henry was invited to share his ideas, his knowledge of Hip Hop culture and their way of thinking about photography as social anthropology.
