WON is a co-founder of the Munich graffiti scene. Inspired by the film “Wild Style”, the artist sprayed his first piece in Ottobrunn near Munich in 1984. In 1988, together with Cowboy 69, he formed the “Art Bombing Clan”, or ABC for short. In 1996 he ended up in court for graffiti. In the late 1980s, WON turned away from calligraphy and more towards figurative elements, the characters. His unique style in comics, painting, illustration and street art enjoys international fame today.
